Day Five, Sunday, August 1st, Kilkenny to Thunderbolt GA:

Low tide.  Must wait till 11 am for departure.
Wind picks up as we make the second turn away from Kilkenny.  Welcome relief from the heat!
Through Hell Gate section of ICW – no issue.
Scenery changing.  More trees, less marsh.  Lots of boats.  ICW snakes through residential areas.
Pass by Isle of Hope Marina.  Fancy boats.  So many NO WAKE zones.
Palatial homes line the winding ICW as we near Savannah.
Arrive at Thunderbolt Marina.  Another less than friendly dock master.

Day Six, Monday, August 2nd, Thunderbolt GA:

Down day… not really.  Run errands in marina courtesy car – wreck of a Camry.  Marine store – new fenders.  Walmart and Publix.
Chat with neighbors – two guys from VA bringing a 1978 53ft Hatteras back home.  Spoke of harrowing experience on the ‘outside’ 4ft swells; boat tipping to the rub rails!
Daily Panic...   First rain – found leaks in master stateroom and main head hatches.   Wearing rain slicker, run outside above decks, and attach vinyl hatch covers.
